Vizeadmiral Mikana sitzt zufrieden in seinem Büro in Rabaul.
Der 7.8.1942 schien ein ruhiger und siegreicher Tag für das Japanische Kaisereich zu werden.

Ruhig war es vor allem in den letzten Wochen im Raum Rabaul , der Seeflugzeugstützpunkt auf Tulagi war fertiggestellt und was noch wichtiger war , das Flugfeld auf Guadalcanal stand kurz vor der Vollendung und die Unterbrechung der Nachschubwege in Richtung Australien rückte näher .

Rabaul kam seiner Vorstellung vom Südsee Paradies ziemlich nahe und er war sich sicher das es noch lange ruhig und friedlich bleiben würde.

Plötzlich riss ihn eine gewaltige Explosion aus den Träumen , beim Blick aus dem Fenster sah er eine große Rauchwolke über dem Hafen und zeitgleich heulten die Sirenen los.

Was Mikana Stunden später auf seinem Schreibtisch liegen hatte, ließ ihn erbleichen und zittern.

Im Hafen von Rabaul war ein US U-Boot in die Minensperre geraten und schwer beschädigt worden , das einzigste was seine Truppen erbeuten konnten war die Funkkladde und genau diese ließ ihn erstarren.

Der letzte empfange und entschlüsselte Funkspruch sagte aus, das eine US Invasionsflotte nur noch 2 Tage von Guadalcanal entfernt war.

Immer wieder hatte er um mehr Pioniere gebeten um auch Verteidigungsanlagen bauen zu können und immer wieder wurde er abgewiesen .

Sollte sich sich das nun rächen ?

Werte Regenten ,

hier entsteht der AAR der Japanischen Seite im Kampf gegen den werten Francis Drake. Beide AAR´s sind geschlossen und für die andere Seite Tabu.

Beim gemeinsamen leeren div. Weizenbierflaschen kam uns die Idee es mal wieder zu wagen . Daher auch der Name " Die verteufelte 3 ".

Seit Uncommon Valor ist es nun das dritte Spiel in dem wir beiden uns mit und gegeneinander mit Guadalcanal befassen.

Leider wurde das UV Scenario , in dem man Midway ausgeblendet hat und die volle KB zu Verfügung stand nie wieder um gesetzt. Dieses waren unsere 1. Gehversuche , die noch gemeinsam unternommen wurden.

Der 2. Versuch war dann Operation MO (http://www.si-games.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10746) im Ursprungs Witp , diese Game brach ich ab , das es unspielbar wurde.

Dieses ist nur unser 3. Versuch und damit dieses Spiel zu Ende geht , habe ich mich für Japan entschieden und das durchhalten, denn das ist beim werten Francis auch so ein Problem wenn es nicht läuft :D

Die verteufelte 3 aber auch , das es mein 3. Versuch in AE gegen einen Menschen ist.

Der erste Versuch gegebn Pio musste wegen Zeitmangels ausfgegeben werden.

Beim 2. Versuch gegen Usul meldetete dieser sich irgendwann nicht mehr.

Nun also der 3. gegen Francis Drake.

Ich werde mich wohl mit Screenis und Karten zurückhalten , das DSL Light nicht gerade Upload freundlich ist.:D
Sollten denoch hier und da Karten und Screenis gewünscht sein lasst es mich wissen.

Dann bin ich mal auf den Bericht zum ersten Zug gespannt, werter zottelhase! Als neutraler Beobachter hat man ja das Vergnügen, beide AARs lesen zu dürfen. Euer Kontrahent hat schon vorgelegt, wenn ich das mal anmerken darf. Auch Euch viel Glück bei diesem Unternehmen - und möge diese Eure 3. WitP-Partie gegen einen Menschen abgeschlossen werden...

Hier und da ein kleiner Screenshot wäre übrigens wünschenswert...:)

Nun werter Mortimer , die Minenexplosion war alles was es zu berichten gab :D

Aber mit dem nächsten Update geht es dann tiefer ins Geschehen .

Mikana drehte endlose Runden durch den Befehlsstand.

Immer wieder schaute er nach draußen, doch dort konnte man die Hand nicht vor den Augen sehen, so finster war es, wo doch der Mond kaum Helligkeit brachte diese Nacht.

Gerade diese Nacht, wo er doch den Amerikaner zeigen wollte wem der Südpazifik gehört und wer hier am Zug war, doch die Zweifel nagten schwer an ihm.

Sein Kommandobereich war auf alles vorbereitet aber nicht auf das Erscheinen der Amerikaner, keine Küstenbefestigungen, Nachschubgüter waren in ausreichender Menge nur in Rabaul und Truk vorhanden. Geschweige denn Kampfflieger , zwar konnte er auf 3 Staffeln Zeros mit 38 Maschinen zurück greifen , doch was sollte geschehen wenn die Amerikaner auf Guadalcanal das Flugfeld Erobern sollten und dieses gegen Ihn einsetzten würden ? Konnten seine Zeros´s gegen die Amerikanischen Bomber etwas ausrichten?

Und seine eigenen Angriffsflieger ? Gerade 32 Betty´s und 15 Val´s konnte er in die Luft bringen und zumindest die Betty´s waren in der Luft, doch ob sie ihr Ziel finden würden bei der Dunkelheit?

Gerade als Mikana aus Truk die Meldung erhielt , das erste Frachter mit Nachschub und Truppen beladen wurden sowie die ersten U-Boote ausliefen., setzten sich auch die ersten Schiffe in Rabaul in Bewegung.

Doch alles dieses konnte Ihn nicht beruhigen, wartete er doch auf die Nachrichten der beiden Nachtschläge gegen die Japaner.

Als er die Augen für einen Moment geschlossen hatte , fing die Luft an zu vibrieren , da aber der Fliegeralarm ausblieb konnte es sich nur um die Betty´s handeln welche von Port Moresby zurück kamen.

Als die erste Maschine landete, stand Mikana bereits am Rollfeld, doch leider wurde er enttäuscht. Die Piloten berichteten von vollkommener Dunkelheit und höchsten 2 Treffern auf das Flugfeld.

Zurück im Kommandostand erhielt er die nächste schlecht Nachricht. Der schwere Kreuzer Chokai, welcher Milne Bay beschießen sollte konnte ebenfalls nur ins dunkle Schießen und keine Wirkung ausmachen.

Der Rest des Tages verlief ruhig, die Amerikaner versuchten den Hafen von Buna zu bombardieren und verloren bei keinem eigenen Verlust 2 Beufort und eine Kittyhwak.

Aufklärer endeckten SO von Port Moresby feindliche Schiffe, konnten diese aber nicht identifizieren. Für den nächsten Tag wurden die 32 Betty´s mit Torpedos beladen und Zero´s erhielten Zusatztanks. In Lae wurden die 15 Val´s ebenfalls auf munitioniert und so senkte sich erneut das Dunkel der Nacht über das Schlachtfeld.

Mariu Kotani fielen die Augen zu und zeitgleich krachte sein schweres Fernglas auf den Boden des Mavis Cockpits. Erschrocken fuhr er hoch und begann wieder die monotone Suche über See.

Seit Stunden suchte seine Staffel nach dem am Vortag gemeldeten Schiffen SO von Port Moresby, doch die See bleib leer , genau wie sie am Morgen bei den Kameraden der Emily Staffel leer blieb.

Und das war es was ihn so ermüdetete , monoton die See absuchen und diese verdammte Ruhe , niemand an Bord sprach und auch der Funk blieb ruhig.

Die einzigste Nachricht des Tages war eine kurze und knappe Funknachricht von Guadalcanal :

--84 Dauntless mit Jagdschutz -- Angriff auf die Bodenstellungen -- keine Nenneswerten Verluste --

Die armen Schweine dachte er sich , während die Mavis die letzte Kurve drehte und mit der untergehenden Sonne Richtung Rbaul verschwand , morgen bekommen Sie es Knüppeldicke auf Guadalcanal.

Schütze Tokana hasste den Krieg und wie er ihn hasste.

Nicht wegen der Brutalität und den Entbehrungen, sonder weil er den Krieg noch nicht gesehen hatte. Im Siegestaumel in der Heimat hatte er sich freiwillig gemeldet um auch seinem Kaiser dienen zu können und um sein Kaiserreich weiter zu vergrößern.

Doch was war ihm gebelieben? Nur Verdruss und Enttäuschung, von allen Fronten hörten man von großen Siegen und wahren Heldentaten und er? Er hockte auf einem Erdhügel auf Lunga und hatte bisher noch keinen Amerikaner gesehen.
Aber heute, heute war sein Tag heute konnte er sich beweisen, dessen war er sich ganz sicher.

Seit dem in der Nacht die ersten feindlichen Kreuzer gesichtet wurden, war er in seinem Gefechtsposten oberhalb des Strandes , bereit das Feuer der wenigen Geschütze zu lenken ,auch wenn er nur ein kleiner Melder war , so überbrachte er doch schließlich die Zielkoordinaten .

Aber irgendwas kam ihm komisch vor, irgendwas stimmte nicht, bisher wurden noch keine Transporter gesichtet, nur die schweren Kreuzer und diese schwenkten langsam ihre Kanonen zu ihnen herüber.
Genau wie sie ihnen in der Grundausbildung erzählt hatten, feigen waren sie die Amerikaner dachte er sich, feige versteckten sie sich hinter ihren Geschützen.

Kurze Zeit später eröffneten Sie das Feuer und Tokana hörte zum ersten Mal das heulen der feindlichen Granaten und als er sich noch über das laute Heulen wunderte, schlug die erste Salve genau in seinem Posten ein .

Für Tonaka war der Krieg beendet bevor überhaupt für ihn begann.

Vizeadmiral Mikana saß zufrieden in seinem kleinen Bungalow oberhalb des Hafens von Rabaul.

Die letzten Tage waren gut und erfolgreich, zwar musste Lunga geräumt werden, doch konnten sich die Truppen geordnet nach Tassafangora zurückziehen und wurden bereits durch Schnelltransporte bei Nacht von Shortlands aus versorgt ohne das die Amerikaner versuchten es zu verhindern.

Auch in Lae und in Buna sind erste Versorgungsgüter angelandet worden, auch wenn in Lae 2-mal Catalinas versuchten die kleinen Patrouillenboote zu bombardieren, doch 2-mal warfen sie daneben.

Auch die Luftschläge über Port Moresby verbuchte er als Erfolg, zwar gingen 5 Zeros, 2 Val´s und 2 Bettys verloren, bei nur 4 Kittyhawk und 5 Aircobra Abschüssen, so konnten doch ein Hilfskreuzer und ein Zerstörer versenkt werden. Und dieses sah er als großen Erfolg an, mussten sich doch die Amerikaner von nun an Gedanken machen wie sie den Nachschub für Port Moresby und Lunga gleichzeitig aus der Luft decken wollen.

Heute Morgen kam die Erfolgsmeldung von I-171, es hatte auf hoher See einen schnellen Einzelfahrer aufklären können, welcher sich direkt auf I-171 zubewegte. Die Geschwindigkeit wurde auf annähernd 27 Knoten geschätzt und von dem 8ér Fächer traf nur ein Torpedo und dieser reichte aus um den Seeflugzeugtender AVP Mackinac zu versenken, wieder ein ähnlich wichtiges Schiff wie der Hilfskreuzer und der Zerstörer.

Aus dem gleichen Seegebiet meldete I-173, das durch seine Glen an Bord 7 feindliche Schiffe, vermutlich auch Träger gesichtet worden waren. Lauerten Sie dort um den Nachschub für Guadalcanal zu verhindern?

Wie dem auch sei , dachte er sich sollen sie doch ein paar Küstenkolcher versenken , der Nachschub den sie brachten war Gold wert für die Truppen auf Guadalcanal.

Um 2 Uhr in der Nacht kamen endlich die beiden Meldungen auf die er den ganzen Tag wartete , zu einem war ein Aufklärungsstoßtrupp bei Tanna an Land gegangen , zum andern hatte I-178 das transportierte Kleinst U-Boot freigegeben und es versucht nun in den Hafen von Brisbane zu gelangen.

Kaum dass er die Blätter zu Seite gelegt hatte, ertönte von See her Geschützfeuer und fast zeitgleich kam die Meldung dass der Frachter Seiku Maru von einem Amerikanischen U-Boot per Geschütz über Wasser angriffen und auch versenkt wurde.
Die Seiku Maru sollte diese Nacht als Einzelläufer Truppen nach Rabaul bringen , die ebenfalls einlaufen TF-3 mit Sprit an Bord konnte aber große Teile der Truppen retten, somit stand es 3:1 für Japan in versenkten Schiffen und der Frachter war beileibe nicht wichtig .

Nichts besonderes an diesem Tag .

Das Kleinst U-Boot läuft bei dem Versuch in den Hafen von Brisbane einzudringen auf eine Mine und sinkt.
Der Stoßtrupp auf Tanna wird endeckt und angegriffen.

Algemeine Lage :

Ziel ist es solange wie möglich gegen zu halten und die Ami´s nicht weiter wie Guadalcanal kommen zulassen.

Der Nachschub kommt vorran und bisher konnte überall welcher angelandet werden, auch Tassafangora wird versorgt. Tulagi soll evakuiert werden ,ob dieses klappt ist fraglich.

Wewak und Kavieng werden als Basen aufgelöst und die Truppen nach Buna und Lae verlegt.

Der Vorstoß von Buna nach Port Moresby wurde gestoppt , evtl. wird dieser mit mehr Truppen zu späterer Zeit erneut Veruscht, das mach ich davon Abhängig wieviel Nachschub und Truppen Francis nach Port Moresby bekommt.

Ponape ist als Seeaufklärer Stützpunkt ausgebaut und mit Emily´s uns Mavi´s wird Guadlacanal überwacht.

Von Rabaul aus kontrollieren Emilys den Sektor zwischen Cairns und Port Moresby , so konnte der Hilfskreuzer ja früh endeckt werden, leider blieben am 1. Tag die Betty´s am Boden.

als Nichtbesitzer aber fleißiger Leser, wie schätzt Ihr bis jetzt Eure Situation ein? Wie sieht der Zwischenstand (Punkte) aus?

Nun ,

Punkte habe ich 1700 und Francis 3500 wobei die egal sind.
Mir geht es nicht um Punkte sondern um Basen und so sieht es aus :

Bisher bekomme ich überall nachscub und Truppen hin , wobei gerade 2 weitere Konvois von ihm Richtung Guadalcanal unterwegs sind , also mach ichmich da erstmal dünne.

Schwierig wird es sicherlich wenn Lunga ausgebaut und ist das Airfield in den Vollbetrieb geht.

Aber momentan kann ich noch die Grundlagen schaffen für ein langes aushalten und Shortlands , Buna , Rabaul und Lae verstärken und dort Nachschub bunkern.

Ein hektischer Tag in Rabaul, fast im Minuten Takt gehen die Lagemeldungen ein:

28 Bettys und 9 Val greifen bei Nacht das Flugfeld bei Port Moresby an. Mehre Flugzeuge werden am Boden zerstört aber wir verlieren 3 Vals.

Ebenfalls in der Nacht beschießen 5 Kreuzer die US Basis Milne Bay, dieses war unser 2. Besuch, wieder ohne Ergebnis.

Am Morgen wird I-10 bei Noumea von einer Dauntless überrascht und getroffen, 20 Sys und 20 Flutschaden, Rückmarsch.

I-23 wird von einer ASW Einheit gestellt, kann aber ohne Nennenswerte Schäden entkommen.

Der am Vortag bei Buna beschädigte Frachter Chihoya Maru wird durch einen 4 Fächer versenkt.

B-17, Aircrobas und Kittyhawks greifen in mehreren Wellen den Konvoi vor Buna an, der Frachter Nitiyo Maru wird bereits ausgeladen versenkt.
Wir verlieren 1 Zero und können 2 Kittyhwak, 5 Aircobra und 1 B-17 abschießen.

Mikana saß mit schlechter Laune im seinem Kommandoposten .

Und nichts vermochte heute die Laune auf zubessern , als erstes konnten die Betty´s von Rabaul aus nicht starten , da das Wetter zu schlecht war.
Und so konnten die Amis ihren Nachschub in Port Moresby ausladen , die Val Sturzbomber in Lae trafen ja wie immer alles nur keine Schiffe .

Als er vom Mittagtisch kam glaubte er kaum was er sah , Lagemeldungen auf seinem Schreibtisch und niemand informierte ihn. Als er die die drei Zettel gelesen hatte , bleib ihm die Luft weg und er musste sich setzten .

Die erste Meldung kam von I-171 :

4 Stunden Wabo Verfolgung , treten bedingt Tauchbereit Rückmarsch an

Damit waren innerhalb von 5 Tagen 4 teilweise schwerbeschädigte U-Boote auf dem Rückmarsch, doch es sollte noch schlimmer kommen :

Man möge mir den laschen AAR Verlauf verzeihen aber momentan komme ich Zeitlich gesehen auf keinen grünen Zweig.

Ab nächste Woche ist Besserung in Sicht und der AAR wird wieder vernüftig geschrieben.

So muss ich leider auch dieses Kampfreichsten Tag in Form Combats abhandeln.

Seit 3 Tagen sind 2 Flottenträger im Einsatz , zuerst standen sie über Guadalcanal , wurden aber wegen der Amerikanischen Träger nicht eingesetzt.
Also verlegte ich sie Richtung Buna um den Nachschub bei PM zu stören, da das schlechte Wetter die Betty´s nicht fliegen ließ.

Wie sich heraus stellte trafen die Träger ganau passend ein.

In der Nacht zerstörte ein Kreuzerverband 2 Konvois bei Buna und beschoss die Basis. Zum Glück waren Truppen und Nachschub bereits angelandet.

Mikana war alleine in seinen letzten Stunden , wieder und wieder las er die Meldungen des Tages, des Tages der so erfolgreich seiin sollte.

Seine Trägerkampfgruppe sollte Guadalcanal Östlich ausweichend passieren und in den freien Pazifik stoßen um übermorgen feierlich in Truk empfangen zu werden.

Was machten seine Träger bei Lunga ? Im Anbetracht der langen Einsatzdauer und das sie im Kampf gegen die Nachschubwege alle ihre Torpedos verbraucht hatten , sollten sie Lunga hunderte Meile weiter Östlich passieren und dem Kampf aus dem Wege gehen.

Und so war es einsam geworden um ihm am Abend, als der die vernichtende Niederlage an Tokio weitergeleitet hatte.

Der Rest der Flotte war schwer getroffen und ohne Treibstoff, CV Zuikaku versuchte alleine Shortlands zu erreichen. Der Rest der Flotte wollte den finalen Überwasserangriff in der Nacht versuchen oder aber am nächsten Morgen sich selbst versenken .

Von Norden kamen in 3 Flotillen 4 Zerstörer und 2 Tanker um sich als Ziel anzubieten und der Zuikaku die Flucht zu ermöglichen.

Und so wie sich sich seine Flotte opfern wollte , so musste auch er sich opfern.

Am Abend nach dem gemeinsamen Essen, zog er sich in seinen Bungalow zurück uns beging das Ritual des Seppuku.

Wir werden es wohl nie erfahren :cool:

Wie dem auch sei, nun wird es halt etwas schwieriger , da er mehr Druck aufbauen kann aber das kann er auch von PM aus und da hätten die Träger auch nicht viel genutzt.

Lunga ist außer Gefecht gesetzt, gegen PM komm ich eh nicht an und LAe, Buna und Shortlands sind bis auf Buna gut mit nachschub versorgt und Truppen sind dort überall genug .

Das Schiffe versenken geht weiter , welch Helden auf Amerikanischer Seite.
Brüsten sich mit der Versenkung von Schiffen , die Aufgrund von Spritmangel im Pazifik dümpeln.

Sobald der neue Oberbefehlshaber in Rabaul eingetroffen ist , werden wir die Wende im Südpazifik abwenden und eine Lagebeurteilung nach 4 Wochen Kampf abgegebn.

Jetzt weiß ich auch warum ich die japanische Seite haben, nach solch einer Schlacht wär der werte Francis Drake an die Heimatfront als Badewannen Admiral gewechselt :D

Äh , der böse der Feind wer denn sonst :D

Es war ausreichend Sprit vorhanden um zumindest die Flottentanker zu erreichen , was allerdings nicht eingerechnet wurde, ist das anscheined wilde Ausweichen bei den Luftangriffen .

Im Zug vor den Angriffen war der geamte Sprit Status grün , im Zug nach den Angriffen war alles rot.

Nun , wie defeniert man Sieg in diesem Scenario ?

Nach Punkten kann ich nicht Gewinnen ,da Australien mehr Punkte bringt , als jeh erobern kann.

Ist es ein Sieg nur Guadalcanal zu verlieren ? Oder ist es ein Sieg Rabaul am Leben zu halten ?

Für mich geht es darum, möglichst Lange Parolie zu bieten und hier und da zu zu schlagen.

Die Lage Allgemein ist nicht so Schlecht wie sie sich liest , zwar sind die Träger gesunken aber einer kommt noch und hier und da kann ich immer mal wieder zuschlagen ,überraschend und in der Nacht , auch sind noch genügend schwere Überwassereinheiten da.

Solange wie Francis nicht die B-17 voll ausspielt bleibe ich im Rennen , beginnt er sie strategisch ein zu setzen , bin ich am Ende.

Mein Nachteil sind die leichten Betty´s und die wenigen Zero Staffeln, zwar tut es ihm auch weh wenn ich seine Aircrobra´s vom Himmel hole aber er blutet nicht aus , ich schon.

Der Spaß ist da und wie der letzte Combat zeigt geht immer was :
