Mars Horizon (https://www.si-games.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30405&highlight=Mars+Horizon) mögen wir gerne, macht uns spaß.

Wir wünschen uns allerdings dieser wird ein kleines bisschen Anspruchsvoller.

Wir freuen uns auch darauf. Das manchmal auch nervige Mini-Spiel beim Ausführen der Missionen wird wohl durch ein Event-System ersetzt, bei dem man angesichts auftretender Probleme Entscheidungen treffen muss. So interpretieren wir zumindest einen der bei Steam veröffentlichten Screenshots. Leider kommt es erst 2024.
Zum Thema realistische Raumfahrt haben wir noch zwei andere Titel entdeckt:
"Reentry" ist wohl eine knallharte Simulation. Man kann als Astronaut historische Kapseln wie Gemini, Apollo oder Mercury steuern. Sieht interessant aus und die Spieler sind begeistert.

"Outer Space Shack" geht eher in die Richtung Management/Strategie und könnte noch 2023 erscheinen:

Wir müssen uns korrigieren: "Outer Space Shack" erscheint offenbar schon am 26.03. Es ist auch eine Demo verfügbar.

Wir gehen davon aus, dass dieses Rover-Mini-Spiel nur einen Aspekt des Ganzen darstellt. Man wird vermutlich - wie im ersten Teil - seine Agentur managen, Raketen zusammenbasteln, Missionen planen usw.
Auch wenn es natürlich nur Spekulation ist, gehe ich davon aus, dass dies der Hauptteil des Spiels ist. Das wird dann noch auf anderen Planeten stattfinden, und man braucht unterschiedliche Raketen um hinzukommen, aber sonst wird es wohl auf den Planeten darauf hinauslaufen.
Mal sehen wie sich das Spiel ändert wenn bemannte Außenposten hinzukommen.

Wäre irgendwie blöd, wenn man es in der Demo nicht schafft, die wesentlichen Apsekte des Spiels zu zeigen.

It is with a heavy heart that, after thorough internal discussions and a wide array of options explored, Auroch Digital has made the extremely tough decision to halt development on Mars Horizon 2: The Search for Life.
We know many of you were really looking forward to the sequel to 2020’s Mars Horizon, and we appreciate your support for the game since we announced it.
Auroch Digital has always aimed to create quality gaming experiences that are full of fun and memorable moments. We also make games that we want to speak to our audience, creating the games they want to play. Based on the reception from the Mars Horizon 2 - Test Mission demo, and the recent player feedback survey, it became clear to us that we missed the mark.
The initial idea for the sequel was to lead on from the first game and make that next major space discovery. You had already reached Mars at the end of the original Mars Horizon, and we felt the search for life was the natural evolution of the series, which would be exciting and engaging. However, in exploring that next step in Mars Horizon 2, the game ended up moving too far away from what players loved about the first game.
If you’ve followed Mars Horizon 2 since its announcement, it won’t be a surprise to learn that it’s been in development for several years and gone through many iterations. We struggled to find the right vision for the game that met our standards, would be commercially viable, and would be embraced by both the original game’s audience and new audiences too.
We are proud of all the hard work the team put into the game. All members of the game’s development team have been moved to other projects that we’re currently working on.
The Mars Horizon 2 development team are eternally grateful to our partners at the European Space Agency, the Canadian Space Agency, and the University of Edinburgh. These partners provided great insight into space and helped to make the game as authentic as possible.
Like we said at the start of this update, we greatly appreciate your support throughout Mars Horizon 2’s development cycle. Your passion for all things space-related is inspiring, and we loved sharing this journey with you.
